Our Story
I have always been interested in products made from other products, creatively crafted for a different use or purpose. (Boy, that's a lot to say, but true!)
Perhaps my attraction was tied to an appreciation and fascination for a highly creative vision, or simply the resourcefulness of the individual to reinvent an old product into a new product. However, I never really thought of it as recycling, until seeing some unique reinvented products while shopping, that stated they were made from recycled materials.
My immediate impression was, this is really cool, and it got me thinking. Why not show people these items are out there. You can be earth friendly even when shopping for ordinary items like a clock or belt.
Better yet, it means something a little extra when it is given or used, it means that, not only are you a thoughtful person, but that the materials used to make it did not end up in the landfill. And that is an easy way to be "Green".
Anyway, I was hooked and decided to open an online eco-friendly gift shop.
As for our name
That's easy, our girls love
Juicy Green Pears! TheJuicyPearGiftShop.com was born. A good friend made the cool logo and we were set!
